GigaSync is designed to provide a power source to standard Power Over Ethernet devices or directly by terminals. It consists of a Base Unit which can host up to three Cartridge expansions. The Base Unit holds the control and main interface systems while Cartridges specify the power method: Power Over Ethernet or terminals.

GigaSync V3 modular architecture allows the expansion of the infrastructure up to 12 ports.

All Cartridges, GS-G-POE-CS, GS-G-POE, GS-G-TER and GS-G-TER-CS are fully compatible both with the GigaSync V2 and GigaSync V3.

The GigaSync is a best-of-breed. The modular unit can manage up to 12 ports (that can be PoE or power terminals to directly supply your equipment). The innovative CPU has a totally improved web interface, shell ssh and SNMP as well as a black box for alerts and critical event logging. Finally, it comes with a Wi-Fi Internet connection via integrated Wi-Fi.

Modular

The GigaSync Base Unit can host up to 3 cartridges. Each cartridge has 4 ports that can be PoE injectors or Power Terminals (bipolar or 4-poles). The Cartridges can be chosen at the base of the needs and can be inserted and removed during normal operation with automatic detection, as well as being hot-swappable.

Always Alive

The dual processor design guarantees the uninterrupted operation of the unit in all the situations, including the restart after the firmware upgrade. Great optimization of the product has made it possible to obtain zero input at the output voltage drop and self-consumption reduction.

Multiple timing source and redundancy

GigaSync has an embedded GPS receiver and can act as master or slave with other GigaSync units or uGPS, cnPulse and CMM5 of Cambium Networks: Cambium uGPS/cnPulse power output on Sync In port.

Simple installation

The installation is immediate: The Controller Module has a local Wi-Fi hotspot for the first configuration that can be performed simply using a smartphone.

Cambium Network synchronization

GigaSync can introduce in ports the synchronization impulse used by Cambium Networks equipment to synchronize the transmission.

Gigabit PoE and Terminals

All PoE ports are natively Gigabit with the option to have terminals to connect routers/switches and all the equipment that needs a controlled power source and transport the data through the fiber.

Manages every kind of PoE

Every single port can be configured to handle a different type of injection map, with or without synchronization pulse, the configuration is simple and does not require any information technology skill: just plug the specific electronic GigaKey and the port is configured.

Easy integration

The Controller Module can be integrated in every management system using SNMP which has been completely redesigned with security and functionality improvements. Furthermore, the integration of the API management system is flexible and simplified.

GigaSync is an injector that can power any device in a range from 21,4V to 57V through specific terminals either bipolar or 4-poles. It is also equipped with standard PoE technology, to power any type of standard PoE solution. In addition, to offer increasingly heterogeneous and compatible solutions, it has been also certified by the main vendors in the TLC world, such as Cambium Network, Ceragon and Intracom Telecom, who have tested their solutions both in the laboratory and the field.
