Gamma Electronics 2.2-5 RF weatherproofing boot is a cable protection solution that installs faster than Cold Shrink. The boot is preinstalled on the jumper cable and installed by simply sliding it along the cable and over the connector. The 2.2-5 Boot is IP68 rated when installed correctly, making it an outstanding cable protection solution.

Gamma’s 2.2-5 Weatherproof Boot is manufactured from a highly ultraviolet and salt resistant silicone rubber that protects and seals connections from moisture. This boot provides IP68 performance and makes an ideal weatherproof solution for LTE RF connectors.

Gamma Electronics recommends using RF Weatherproofing Boots on connections that need to be frequently revisited. If you know you need to go back to that connection in the near future, to reset a radio/access point, (or something of that nature), you don’t want to be cutting cold shrink, heat shrink, or tape off the connection with each visit. Weatherproofing boots make disconnection of your connection easy without having to change out the weatherproofing.
